Dominic Fa’anoi, a product of St Pats College, Wellington 1972-’74. After leaving college he took up an Apprenticeship as a Motor Mechanic with New Zealand Motor Corp 1975-’85. He moved on to join the Department of Corrections 1986- 2003 for the next 17 years where he became the Chairperson and played a major role in establishing The Pacific/Ethnic Officers Network.
Due to the diverse cultures throughout the Wellington Region, Dominic can bridge the gap with his ability to relate to most people. He sets high standards and goals for himself and constantly puts plans and strategies in place to help him accomplish this. He listens, observes and gathers information about his clients wants and needs. A founding member of Porirua Community Guardian, along with the Porirua Police Area Commander John Spence and the late Sargent Dallas Crampton formed 2004, to reduce crime and anti-social behaviour. Dominic and wife Simone owned and operated a Pacific Business Award winning “Fa’anoi Pharmacy Lotto 2005 in Porirua for over 12 years, he was also the top Salesperson for Enterprise Cars in Porirua 2003.
Dominic is a devoted family man with three children, supporting them in every way he can, and he totally believes maintaining balance gives you a better and more enjoyable lifestyle. The very first Samoan to play for MSP and was a member of the “Legends” 1978-80. A personal trainer, nutritionist, dietitian and also competed in Mr Wellington BodyBuilding 1997, trained as a Chef, a qualified Massage Therapist, in Sports, Relaxation and Reflexology.
