"Obviously super cute and a real sanctuary close to the city. Very quiet and peaceful. I particularly enjoyed living in Thorndon – cute shops in Tinakori Road and restaurants and pub. Nice & close to the botanical gardens, Hill St Market and New World, and I could walk to work in the CBD. I found it so much more enjoyable than apartment living which is what I was doing prior in both Auckland and Wellington. Nice to have different areas – the courtyard, the conservatory in particular is a lovely warm spot to sit and read. And a favourite spot too is the dining room where I often hosted dinner parties, or set myself up to work from home."
